Baby Let's Play House is Elvis' fourth work. It contains two tracks recorded in the iconic final sessions at Memphis' Sun Studio. It was re-released by RCA under catalog number 47-6383 on January 23, 1956.
The success of the single "Milkcow Blues Boogie / You're a Heartbreaker", released on December 28, 1954, saw Sam Phillips and his magic trio take a leading role in the music market in the Southern US.
Elvis' performances increased considerably from October 1954, when The Louisiana Hayride began to cast him as the main star. In addition, his performances at other major events such as the Grand Ole Opry and the Hank Snow All-Star Jamboree have helped to attract national and worldwide attention.
At that time, Elvis' concert routine was so intense that it prevented him from entering the studio. His recordings were made when he had a space in his schedule, which wasn't always big.
The singer's fourth single by Sun was made up of these sporadic recordings, with one side being captured at dates far removed from the other. "Baby Let's Play House", for example, came out of the February 11, 1955 session, while "I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone" was recorded on March 5 (the first version of this song, slower , dated November 15, 1954 and was released only after Elvis passed away).
As expected, the release of the compact on April 10, 1955 was a success. Parker was already taking care of Elvis' career, and at that point, negotiations with RCA were almost complete.
There were months left for the Sam Phillips trio to be part of a national craze: Rock 'n' Roll.
