For LP Fans Only is Elvis Presley's seventh album on RCA Victor. It is a compilation of hits recorded between 1954 and 1956, covering content from both RCA and Sun Studio.
After Presley's induction into the United States Army on March 24, 1958, RCA director Victor, Elvis, and Colonel Tom Parker faced the prospect of keeping his name before the public for two years with no possibility of performances or films and few recordings not yet released.
A recording session was hastily arranged on June 10, 1958 to meet this demand, producing enough tracks for five singles, which was the commercial focus for rock music in the 1950s. Four of these tracks would be released on EPs in 1958 and 1959, during his absence.
Presley, however, also did well in the album market. Each of his previous six LPs had achieved no less than number three on the charts, and RCA was keen to continue that. Much of Elvis' material had been sold as singles rather than LPs, so the label put into practice the idea of taking these hits and releasing them in this format under the title "For LP Fans Only".
Nine previous singles were brought together in the work, added from "Poor Boy" from the "Love Me Tender" EP, to close the minimum number of tracks required for an LP. Four of these tracks were issued by Sun Records with limited release, and were very difficult to find outside of the South. However, all five singles reissued by RCA in November 1955 remained in print until the 1970s.
The LP marks the first time "That's All Right" was released in an album in the UK, where it was never issued as a single before 1956. RCA re-released the album on CD in 1989. The work is included in a 25-disc box, "The Perfect Blues Collection", released by Sony in 2011. FTD released its own version in 2018.

The FTD version came only in 2018, after a long time of planning. As the original compilation contained material extensively worked on in other releases or without many outtakes, the solution found was to gather radio and TV presentations, in addition to some tracks recorded informally during Elvis' military service in Germany in 1959 and release them together with a 16-page booklet with period photos, information and memorabilia. The work includes the following tracks:
